This magical woodland garden includes historical oaks, a 1000 year old Matai, redwood, rhododendrons, conifers, lancewoods and many other New Zealand natives including the Silver fern. A garden of four seasons produces drifts of spring flowers of bluebells and snowdrops, a collection of Heritage Roses and a Rose garden of florabunda and hybrid Teas. Flowers tumble down over the sides of the original rock walls which follow the paths around through the garden.
Visitors can enjoy the garden at their leisure and relax on the expansive lawns or they can take in some of the history and book at Guided Garden Tour.
A bird watchers paradise.
