Tales From Darkest Dunedin - Historical City Walk

Historian and expert story teller, Gregor Campbell (featured in NZ Heritage Magazine) tells the story of the Scottish founders of Dunedin - what they found when they arrived, the society they built and the gold rush which changed it for ever.

Dunedin's Victorian and Edwardian architecture is world-renowned. Follow Gregor as he takes you through his beloved city, as he has done many times before but each time is as fresh as the first. Starting the tour in the Octagon, learn about the amazing buildings that survive in the center of town then the railway station, Toitu museum, Queens Gardens, The Exchange to see the Cargill memorial with fanciful stone details, to Otago Girls High School, the old Fortune Theatre then finally, the First Church. After a 90 minute walk, you'll walk away feeling like a local and just as welcome.
