Like our Vogel Street Walk, the Dunedin Laneways Walk celebrates the sensitive redevelopment which has transformed Dunedin's old warehouse precinct. This time the accent is on laneways and the role that art plays in such spaces.
Meet your guide, Athol Parks, beneath the bridge beside 88 Vogel Street. Athol will background the fall and rise of Dunedin's warehouse precinct, then lead you through it on a leisurely, 60-90minute stroll. Your focus will be laneways - and how art in laneways can further energise these spaces and help drive positive development. The walk concludes in No Name Alley, a rustic but exciting space in the throes of renewal now. The tour is offered daily except Sundays. Wednesdays through Saturdays we'll visit No Name Alley tenant Steamer Basin Brewery and Taproom, where you may purchase a beer.
