Study Dunedin Ambassador Programme aims to encourage international students to choose Dunedin as their place to study.
The Programme includes (i) a scholarship for five individuals worth $1000 each which goes towards tuition fees, and (ii) VIP Dunedin experience to help students have positive experience during their time in Dunedin (e.g., a welcome morning tea, fun activities through the year, some discount vouchers for local services, and personal support from Study Dunedin to expand your network).
As Japan is one of Dunedin’s focus markets this year, Dunedin City Council invites Japanese secondary school students for Study Dunedin Ambassadors Programme 2025.
To be eligible for the Programme, applicants must:
- Be accepted for a place of study at a Dunedin secondary school (years 10, 11 ,12, 13) in 2025.
- Be a Japanese citizen who normally has had a domicile or residence in Japan.
- Be intending to study at a school in Dunedin in person throughout the duration of their studies of at least one year (or four school terms).
Note: a successful applicant cannot apply for a place in the Programme in subsequent years. All current students who meet the criteria are eligible to apply if they are enrolled in Dunedin until June 2025 (or longer).
Applications are now closed for 2024 and all applicants will be contacted with results by 31st January 2025.
Please see this webpage for next round of applications from August 2025.
Simply complete the form below and the Programme organiser will be in touch with successful applicants following the closure of application process in early 2025.
